Gardner Smith NZ Limited was incorporated in 1984 in order to expand the offshore activities of the Parent Company, Gardner Smith (Holdings) Pty Limited.

Gardner Smith NZ Limited has subsequently become an industry leader in both the procurement and export of NZ Tallow as well as developing trade activities to include the export of NZ protein meals, and the importation of vegetable oils for industrial purposes as well as molasses for liquid animal feeds.

Our ability to leverage the advantages of owning storage facilities through our investment in Pacific Terminals NZ Limited, has meant we are able to ensure the outbound goods leave NZ shores in the best condition possible.

This, combined with our market, logistics and distribution network has meant Gardner Smith NZ Limited has continued to set new standards in market offerings and further strengthen relationships with both our international and domestic customers.

In 2010, Gardner Smith NZ concluded the joint venture purchase of a manufacturing feed mill business, Advanced Feed, based in Methven, Mid Canterbury.
